Front pages of Bulletin, Inquirer, and Star, March 21

March 19, 2011. US and European planes and warships launched air strikes in Libya, hitting key air defense facilities. At least 110 missiles were fired.  Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi vowed retaliation following the attacks.

This came two days after the UN Security Council passed Resolution 1973, demanding “an immediate ceasefire” and authorizing the international community to establish a no-fly zone and to use all means necessary short of foreign occupation to protect civilians.
