Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire defeated Omar “El Huracán” Narvaez via unanimous decision to retain both his WBC and WBO Bantamweight Championships at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, USA. The bout was “all Donaire”, as Narvaez was on the defensive for most of the fight. All judges scored 120-108 in favor of Donaire.

This was Donaire’s 19th KO win and 26th consecutive win, improving his win-loss record to 27-1. His Argentinian opponent, on the other hand, suffered his first loss since his boxing ring debut in 1990, falling to 35-1-2.
